NAVIGATING ADULTHOOD

Earn-While-You-Learn Life Skills WorkGroups for Native Americans Ages 16-25 in Los Angeles County

If you’re a Native American growing up in Los Angeles, you already know what it means to walk between worlds. Navigating Adulthood is a two-Saturday WorkGroup series for young people who want to succeed in the modern world while deepening their connection to their culture. The series is hosted through a collaborative partnership of Native American leaders and organizations.

Why You Should Come

Navigating Adulthood isn’t two days of lectures. It’s a supportive community setting where you can:

  • Learn how to open a bank account, understand credit, and build your financial future
  • Get honest information about college and trade school options
  • Talk about mental health and cultural identity—and how both affect adulthood
  • Connect with other Native young people and Native mentors
  • Enjoy a traditional meal, cultural teachings, and ceremony.

You’ll leave with practical tools you can use right now, and with people in your corner as you step into the next chapter of your life.

Earning $ While You Learn: How It Works

  • When you complete both WorkGroup sessions, you receive a stipend.
  • At the end of each session, your name is entered into three drawings, giving you three chances (for a total of six) to win a $100 gift card.

Where and When

You have four opportunities to take the Navigating Adulthood series – it is offered once each month in February, March, April, and May. Each series includes two Work Groups, A and B, held on Saturdays at various locations throughout Los Angeles County (to be announced).

Register now to reserve your spot.

Fill out and submit the online form. To ensure you get the most benefit from the series and receive your stipend, please read the Agreement Statement and enter your name and the date. The Agreement outlines your commitment as a WorkGroup participant. Once you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email with your unique Participant ID.
